Herbal healing the ayurvedic way
Filed Under (Ayurveda Herbal Healing) by Ayurveda Herbs

Ayurveda or ayurvedic medicine is a system that originated from India several thousand years ago that integrates the healing process using knowledge of the body, mind and spirit. Thus, it is a very holistic healing and medicine system compared to the Western healing system which utilizes only analytical and scientific research.

Ayurvedic healing uses herbs comprehensively and it is a very important part of the medicinal system. Typically, traditional herbs and commonly occurring plants which have medicinal values are used. Through various initiatives by the Indian government, ayurveda is now recognised and gradually accepted and is even more preferred compared to Western medicine.

Why is ayurvedic herbal healing better compared to Western medicine? For one, it uses only naturally occurring herbs such as turmeric and medicinal plants that confer special properties and benefits. It is gentle on the body, produces no side effects if used properly and also does not neglect the spiritual side of the body. The holistic healing system focuses on cleansing the body and rooting out the causes of illness, besides preventing the illness that creates a healthy balance which in turn lead to harmony of mind and body.
